How to Work With Me?
With more than 25 years of hands-on experience in the maritime world, I’ve dedicated my life to sailing and helping others navigate the rewarding but often complex journey of yacht ownership. As a professional sailor with dual Spanish and U.S. citizenship, and a licensed and bonded yacht broker in Florida, I bring a rare combination of international perspective, deep sailing expertise, and market knowledge to every consultation, delivery, or training session I take on.
My career has taken me across oceans, from Caribbean island-hopping deliveries to high-end yacht commissionings in Europe. I’ve worked with some of the most respected names in the sailing world—Fountaine Pajot, Dufour, Lagoon, Sunreef Yachts, and Leopard Catamarans—giving me a unique and well-rounded perspective on what makes a yacht not just seaworthy, but perfectly suited to its owner’s goals.
Whether you're a first-time buyer looking to navigate the purchase process with clarity and confidence, or a seasoned sailor wanting to understand the subtle differences between top catamaran brands, I’m here to help.

Here’s how the hourly consulting process works:
Discovery Session:
We start with a video or phone call where I get to know you, your goals, and your sailing experience. This isn’t a sales pitch—it’s a conversation focused on clarity.
Needs Analysis & Brand Comparison:
I help you break down the pros and cons of specific catamaran models, explaining real-world differences between major brands like Fountaine Pajot, Lagoon, Sunreef, Leopard, and Bali.
Market Support:
I can guide your search in the U.S., Europe, or the Caribbean—wherever the right boat may be. I regularly track global listings, new builds, and hidden opportunities.
Contract Review & Strategy:
If you’re about to make an offer, I can help you review the contract, inspection terms, and purchasing timeline. My goal is to make sure there are no surprises later.
Survey & Sea Trial Coordination:
I advise you through the technical review, helping you understand what’s normal wear and tear, and what might be a red flag.
Commissioning & Delivery Advice:
If you’re buying new or importing a yacht from Europe, I can help with commissioning plans, equipment reviews, and even delivery captain selection.
Post-Purchase Sailing Support:
Once your boat is in your hands, I offer sailing days to help you get fully comfortable with systems, navigation, docking, and more.
My hourly rate gives you flexibility—you get exactly the help you need, when you need it, without pressure or commitment. And because I’ve worked with so many different types of boats and owners, you get access to a deep well of knowledge that can save you time, money, and stress.
A Partner in Your Learning Journey
I’m not only a consultant—I’m also an experienced sailing instructor. I’ve worked with new catamaran owners, families preparing for long-term cruising, and solo sailors wanting to build confidence. My teaching style is personalized and practical. I focus on what you need to know to sail your own boat safely and enjoyably.
We’ll cover topics like:
* Maneuvering a catamaran under power
* Anchoring and mooring techniques
* Line handling and docking under pressure
* Sail trim and passage planning
* Navigation systems and redundancy
* Safety drills and real-world seamanship
Whether we spend one day on board or several, my goal is the same: to give you the skills and confidence to fully enjoy your boat.
